What’s the car that’s inexplicably more popular for your state or area than it is in the rest of your country?
Even though I’ve only lived in Washington state a short amount of time. I think I’d have to nominate the Subaru Crosstrek. Mainly because a Subaru has to be the official car of this state and I honestly never new the Crosstrek existed till I moved up here.
For my native Texas I’d probably say the Chevy Silverado. Because when someone says “Yeah, my trucks outside” or something similar. 90% of the time it’s this truck. Age will vary depending on the average income of the area, but it’s usually a Silverado.

Not for the province, but my city, it would have to be whatever luxury SUV is in vogue. The Cayenne, X5, GLE, whatever, they’re all top contenders.

New Jersey has to be the Acura MDX. I rarely see them in MI when I go out there and I feel like I could throw a rock in this state and hit one 20% of the time.
From 1998-2004 the Nissan Maxima was the 3rd best selling car in the NYC DMA, that one was a clear skew as I don’t even think it was a Top 10 selling car nationally.

F-150, followed by the Silverado. During Cash4Clunkers, the top two vehicles bought because of the program were the F-150, and the Silverado, and Ram trucks were in the top 5 IIRC.

Really there are three official cars of Washington: Tesla, flashy Lexus, old Toyota.

The official car of Texas is any one that’ll pull right out in front of you then do about 5mph on the frontage road.

That’s hard with Tennessee. We have 3 very different regions(West, Middle, and East Tennessee) and each one would have a different answer. West is Donk cars, Middle Tennessee would be the Lexus RX and East Tennessee would be the Subaru XV.
We do have an official state rifle though - The Barret 50 Cal. Manufactured bear Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

NNJ here, would have to say either Cadillac or cheap, old ricerized Civis. Even though it NNJ, its a different state when compared to south and CNJ.
South NJ has freaking rodeos...rodeos

There was actually an article on this. For Arizona I was the 500L. With that said, the real answer is the Buick LeSabre

Unless you are older than 55, then the DMV hands you one of these when you renew your license.
